Totality: The Total Solar Eclipse Documentary

On the occasion of the Total Solar Eclipse of August 21st 2017 Echo Media produced this documentary with the cooperation of the Casper Planetarium in Wyoming.

“Totality” is a 30-minute documentary that explains the features and celestial mechanics behind solar eclipses, and the importance of science literacy and education to our society.

Interviews with eyewitnesses and subject matter experts in astronomy and science education explain the grandeur of this rare event with the help of custom-produced animations and a plethora of video and photographs produced by Echo Media and amateur astronomers from around the world.

An original music soundtrack and a historic reenactment of ancient Mayan astronomers are two of the elements that elevate this compelling production.
